One legged squats

One of the more efficient butt exercises is definetly squats, but even better is one legged squat. Some may find that one legged squats are hard on the knees and these people should not do it. But why one legged squats are better than regular squats? The answer is simple, you can deliver the power through your heel which makes your butt and hamstrings do the most of the work. You can actually feel this when executing the exercise.

The main difference between regular squat and one legged squat is obviously that you do the exercise with one leg. You may use the other leg for support, but just make sure that when coming back up you mostly use one leg and deliver the power through it’s heel. A good machine for executing this exercise is the smith machine, as the barbell is connected to the machine at all times, it is easier to keep balance. This is definetly one of those exercises for your butt which answers the question how to get a big butt.
